Introduction
The ICC Champions Trophy, earlier known as the ICC Knockout Trophy, is a quadrennial cricket tournament organized by the ICC. It is played in ODI format.

9th Champion Trophy
The 2025 ICC Champions Trophy was the ninth edition of the tournament, held in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates from February 19 to March 9, 2025. The tournament featured the top eight ranked men’s national teams, with Afghanistan making their debut appearance.

8th Champion trophy
The eighth ICC Champions Trophy was held in England and Wales from June 1 to June 18, 2017. The match was played between Pakistan and India. Pakistan won the toss against India and elected to bat first. Pakistan set an unbelievable target of 338/4 in 50 overs. Fakhar Zaman scored a century. He put pressure on India because of this target. Mohammad Amir bowled well. Pakistan defeated India by 180 runs to win the Champions Trophy, bowling out the entire Indian team for 158 runs. Thus, the Pakistani team won the championship trophy in 2017.
7th Champion trophy
The seventh ICC Champions Trophy was held in England from June 6 to June 23, 2013. The match was played between India and England. England won the toss and elected to field first. England set the target of 129 runs. India successfully chased the score, winning the match by five runs (D/L method).
6th Champion trophy
The sixth ICC Champions Trophy was held from 22 September to 5 October 2009 in South Africa. Australia faced New Zealand in the final. New Zealand won the toss and elected to bat first against Australia. New Zealand batted first and scored 200 runs in 45.1 overs. Australia successfully chased the target, scoring 206/4 in 45.2 overs, winning the match by 6 wickets.
5th Champion trophy
The fifth ICC Champions Trophy was held in India from 7 October to 5 November 2006. It was originally scheduled for 2004 in Pakistan but was postponed and relocated due to security concerns. Australia defeated the West Indies by eight wickets to win their first ICC Champions Trophy title. West Indies won the toss and elected to bat first. They set a target of 139 runs for Australia. They were bowled out for 138 runs in 30.4 overs.
4th Champion trophy
The fourth ICC Champions Trophy was held in England from September 10 to September 25, 2004. It was the third final match between the West Indies and England. West Indies won the toss and chose to bowl. England scored 217 runs while batting first, and West Indies won the match by two wickets.
3rd Champion trophy
The 3rd ICC Champions Trophy was held in 2002 in Sri Lanka. The final match was between India and Sri Lanka. However, the game was postponed due to rain, and the two teams shared the trophy.
2nd Champion Trophy
The second Champions Trophy was held in 2000 in Kenya. The match was between New Zealand and India. India won the toss and elected to bat, scoring 264/6 in 50 overs. New Zealand chased down the target of 265 runs, scoring 265/6 in 49.4 overs. And won the champion trophy.
1st Champion Trophy
The final of the tournament was played on 1 November 1998 at Bangabandhu National Stadium, Dhaka. West Indies scored 245 runs in 49.3 overs. Philo Wallace scored 103 runs, and Jack Kells took five wickets for 30 runs. South Africa achieved the target in 47 overs, losing 06 wickets.
